Eve Is Such A “Flirt”

eveIn a recent performance Eve reminded a room full of industry reps what she loves the most during a party for her upcoming album, tentatively titled "Flirt."

"Don't let anybody tell you I went to Hollywood. I'm an MC first -- all that other sh** is a bonus," she told the crowd at New York Advertising Week's kick-off event hosted by Billboard.

The first number she performed -- while backed by a DJ, a drummer and a guitarist -- was the club track "Give It Here," which had a combined pop-and-lock beat pattern as well as a soca and reggae feel.

The second was more electronic/techno based, with double speed drums and a looping production. "I never knew a chick like you could dance," Eve rhymes on the chorus.

The disc is slated for a late 2009 release date, according to Billboard.

Jay-Z Comments On The Lil Mama Stunt At The VMA’s

lilmama-crashes-jayz-aliciakeys-vma-performanceJay-Z said Lil Mama's interruption of his "Empire State of Mind" performance at the MTV Video Music Awards was just as disrespectful as Kanye West's hijack of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.

While speaking to Hot 97's Angie Martinez on Wednesday, Hov said, “Me personally, I would never do that. I would never have the nerve to do that. We went to rehearsals and went did run through and we worked really hard at the performance to put on a show for people. "

"I actually thought it was equivalent to what Kanye did to Taylor Swift, but nobody really talked about that because I’m not a sweet little girl from the middle of America.”

I'm in total agreement with Jigga on that one.  What Lil Mama did was completely out of line and she should have known better. Tell em why you mad son!
