Rihanna is featured in the upcoming January issue of GQ magazine. The publication – which has Rihanna topless on the cover, using her arms to cover her breasts – says of the article: "You've never heard or seen Rihanna quite like this." Ms. Fenty, meanwhile, feels these interviews are helping her to heal.
Below is an excerpt from the GQ interview:
GQ: What exactly do you think people think about you that's wrong?
R: It's not really anything that's wrong. It's just weird when I read about myself. Like how one simple thing can be turned into something different.
GQ: Like when people were talking about communicable diseases?
R: Hmm?
GQ: When people were bringing up herpes, for instance. Saying that's why Chris Brown hurt you—
R: Right. And it's not true. It's a f**king scar. On my lip. That's there every day of my life.
GQ: It must be hard reading that kind of stuff.
R: It's not like it's hard. It's more ignorant. At first I was like, Are you serious? First I thought people were gonna definitely know that that's not…But when I read it, and I see that people just buy into that…Like, the minute they see it, it forms something in their heal.
