Tiger Woods is walking a fine line. He is still refusing to talk to Florida police regarding his car crash late last week. Check out what his agent now have to say on his behalf:
"We have been informed by the Florida Highway Patrol that further discussion with them is both voluntary and optional," Woods' IMG agent Mark Steinberg wrote in an e-mail Sunday. "Although Tiger realizes that there is a great deal of public curiosity, it has been conveyed to FHP that he simply has nothing more to add and wishes to protect the privacy of his family."
TMZ is reporting that Woods facial lacerations were actually inflicted by his wife, Elin, who was upset over a National Enquirer story two days earlier claiming he had an affair with Rachel Uchitel.
Woods first spoke out Sunday, saying on his Web site: "This situation is my fault and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again."
Meanwhile, Woods has backed out of his Chevron World Challenge in Thousand Oaks, Calif., which benefits his foundation. Citing injuries from his car accident, Woods announced he would neither play nor appear at the four-day tournament, which begins Thursday at Sherwood Country Club.
