    • EXCLUSIVE: Mary Mary “Be U” Book Interview

Written by admin in interviews at 8:10 am on Apr 21st, 10

Gospel duo Mary Mary (sisters, Tina and Erica)  are mothers, wives, and successful business women living and loving life all while sharing the blessing that God has provided for them. You may think that they have it all, but life hasn't always been this easy. The sisters have been on a long spiritual  journey of discovery, and over the years have learned to love who God made them to be.  Now, they’re using their gift to help others find their way with their new book, BE U.

In a recent interview, I sat down with the sisters to discuss their new book  BE U, which hit bookstores everywhere on April 6.

IBH: Hello,  How are you doing?

      Mary Mary Be U

      Mary Mary Be U

MM: We're doing great enjoying life with our families.

IBH: What inspired you to write this book?

MM: We were inspired to write the book after meeting young girls who'd rather be anyone but themselves and remembering what that felt like when we were younger. And feeling a responsibility to share what we've learned, to help shape and change lives.

IBH:  Who came up with the concept of an interactive book?

MM: We collectively (management publisher) wanted something that would help start the inner work it takes to really become the best at knowing who you are. Like asking questions and facing your own issues. We really love that part of the book!

IBH: What do you want young women to get out of reading your book?

MM: We want people to understand that their not alone, someone has been where they've been, and if we made it thru they can do the same thing to. You have to be strong in mind body and soul to overcome certain things and know that with the help of God all things are possible.

IBH: Who's idea was it to use song titles as chapters in the book?

MM: The idea to use the titles of the songs was ours since the songs and titles have been the source of strength for so many. we wanted to elaborate on the meanings of the songs and how they relate to things we've been thru in our own lives. Most of our songs are our own testimonies.

IBH: When will the book be available to purchase?

MM: The book was released April 6th and is in stores NOW. Also available through Amazon.com and all national book stores.

IBH: What are the things in life that keep you grounded?

MM: What keeps us grounded is never forgetting where we came from. Always remembering God has given us a gift and we have a responsibility to share it and remain true to our faith in God. We know who we are, but we're also aware that we're nothing without God and its him that has blessed us to to what we do.  It's kinda hard to have your nose up in the air with that information! Bottom line is grateful hearts keep us grounded.

Love mary mary i think they are wonderful women of God. However i think the would have a different prospective on true chrisitian.

I hate when ever there is a interview with someone who say they are christian and followers of God instead of promoting God they are alway pomoting a book movie or something and not forcusing of Christ.

And in todays world the forcus should be on God and not ourselves
