Rapper Lil Wayne called into New York’s Hot 97 last night to chat up DJ Funkmaster Flex in his first interview since entering Rikers Island last March. [Check out the video below.]

Weezy talked about his daily routine (“I call my my mother, my kids. You know I’ve got a lot of kids to call”) and promoted his upcoming “I Am Not a Human Being” EP.

“It’s going to drop before ‘Tha Carter IV,’ only on the Internet,” Wayne said. “This is stuff that I recorded right before I came here.”

The EP is due on his birthday, Sept. 27.

Shortly after, rival station Power 105.1 debuted the EP’s Drake-assisted lead single, “Right Above It.”
