Junior Seau
Police near San Diego responded to reports of a shooting Wednesday at the home of former NFL star , the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
TMZ, citing multiple law enforcement sources, reported that Seau was found dead inside the home.
Law enforcement sources now tell us ... Seau died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
The 12-time Pro Bowl linebacker, aged 43, played for the , and from 1990-2009.
In October 2010, Seau that he was trying to commit suicide after driving his SUV off a cliff in Carlsbad, CA.
