The Style network premiered its new reality show “Empire Girls: Julissa & Adrienne,” which follows Latina best friends Julissa Bermudez and Adrienne Bailon as they attempt to make a name for themselves in the big Apple.  The show comes off more like a low budget  latin version of Snooki and J-Wow do Jersey Shore but I'll let you be the judge...

Julissa, a former host of BET’s “106 & Park,” wants to be the next Oprah Winfrey, while her bestie Adrienne former member of the girl group 3LW and Disney’s former Cheetah Girls wants to become a triple threat like her idol, Jennifer Lopez.

In the first episode we find Julissa stressing over being asked to tone down her strong Dominican accent to become more marketable, while Adrienne pissed off her label boss Ne-Yo by obsessing over an ass tattoo of her ex boyfriend Rob Kardashian.

Julissa's issue seemed a bit more real but Adrienne's seems more scripted.  Let's remember that the couple broke up over 3 years ago or that Adrienne waited this long to get the tattoo removed in the first place .  I don't know about yall but Empire Girls will make into the rotation on my DVR  however if you have nothing else better to do with your time the show airs on Sunday nights at 9:00 pm.
