Just in time for Memorial Day check out some new music from OLIVIA called "Soldier Girl" featuring MAVADO.

Olivia recently signed to Wonda Music, has been busy at work on her new album, Show The World. The songstress is also a part of the cast of VH1's Love & Hip Hop reality series, which is now readying production for it's third season in June.

After a long and private battle with lung cancer, 5 time Grammy winner and the Queen of Disco Donna Summer has passed away at age 63.

Summer passed away in Florida where weeks ago she was seen in good spirits.  Summer was in the process of finishing up on her latest album at the time of her passing.

Donna’s ruled over the disco scene with  hits like “Last Dance,” “Bad Girl” and “She Works Hard For The Money.”

She married Brooklyn Dreams singer Bruce Sudano back in the 80's had two daughters.

Check out this leaked single entitled “Cocaine” by rapper Eminem featuring R&B songstress Jazmine Sullivan. Reportedly, the song was supposed to be on Eminem’s Recovery album, but didn’t make the the cut.

Alicia Keys offered up a post holiday collabo, “Speechless.” This was produced by her husband, Swizz Beatz and features rapper, Eve, who is currently working on a new studio album.

Ne-Yo

Ne-Yo appears to be regretting his most recent release, “Libra Scale,” explaining to his fans that he lost focus.

“It’s just there was so much going on in regards to this album,” Ne-Yo said. “Writing the script, making sure it was good, shooting videos and being too hands on with the director, the artwork and everything.”

He admitted that this was in fact his “poorest selling album to date.”

 The singer/writer/producer feels deeply that his fans are entitled to a much better product and has started to work on the next album already.

“I’m already working on my next album. I took two years off in between ‘Year Of The Gentlemen’ and ‘Libra Scale.’ I’m just going to get back to the basics and do what I do. My fifth album needs to be about the songs, I don’t have a theme as such yet, it will be what life is, the black white and gray – what it is to be alive – that’s what this album is going to represent.”

Along with that bit of news, it was announced that Trey Songz will support Ne-Yo on his UK tour in February and March. Here’s the schedule:

Christmas in Harlem

The song has only been out a week and already, Rolling Stone has named Kanye West’s single “Christmas in Harlem” one of the greatest rock and roll songs ever for the holiday.

Although the rapper hails from Chicago and not New York, Kanye apparently got a credibility pass because he hooked up with Cam’ron, Vado, Teyana Taylor and Jim Jones for the project.

“That’s what made it even better,” said Taylor, who sings the chorus on the song. “He put Harlem artists on it.”

They put the uptown stamp on the song by plugging the shopping on 125th St. and the popular Harlem burger joint, Jimbo’s.
