Sean "Diddy" Combs turned the big 4-0 on Nov. 4, but he is waiting until this Thursday (Nov. 19) to celebrate the birthday milestone in grand style.

According to the New York Post's Page Six, Diddy has booked the Grand Ballroom inside of New York's Plaza Hotel for the extravaganza.      

The mogul hired event planner Bronson Van Wyck to create a "fantasy dreamland" with fashion installations, a labyrinth, performance art and a display by "wizard of light" Bentley Meeker, who promises the lighting will grow "dimmer and sexier," punctuated by a "blizzard of light."       

The guest list for what Diddy is calling "the party of the century" includes Queen Latifah, Russell Simmons, Spike Lee, Zac Posen, Lil' Kim and a "very special" musical guest.

Word on the street is that Diddy got into a verbal scuffle outside a VMAs afterparty with an undercover cop. TMZ is reporting:

It all went down Sunday night outside a VMA afterparty at 1 Oak — the cop forcefully instructed Diddy to keep moving on the sidewalk … to which the record mogul replied, “Lower your f**king voice when you’re talking to me … I’m a man just like you.”

The cop then yelled back at Diddy, “I don’t give a f**k who you are.”

Diddy turned and shouted back, “I don’t give a f**k who you are either mother f**ker!”

The two men continued to yell at each other until Diddy’s entourage ripped him away.

I’m just confused on how this is even an undercover cop with authority if he’s not even affiliated with NYPD. Sounds like somebody just felt like stepping to Diddy because they thought they could.
