Montana & Laurence Fishburne

Fresh off the set of her porn debut, Montana Fishburne continues working the media circuit.  She tells E! Online that she and her famous father, actor Laurence Fishburne, are currently not speaking.

Her last conversation with him was the morning of his birthday, July 30, as it was later that day that word of her headline-grabbing career change made the rounds. When asked if they’d spoken since, she demurred.

“Not right about this situation, ’cause he doesn’t want it all out there,” she told E! News in her exclusive sitdown airing tonight. “I’ve had communication with him, but not about the tape.”

As that communication has mostly taken the form of unanswered emails, she is more than aware of the effect her decision is having on him, admitting that “he might be mad, he might be hurt.”

“For him, it’s his reputation, because we are linked together…I understand that,” she said. “It’s hard for any dad to see their daughter on tape like that. I understand, but at the same time I want him to understand that this is my dream.”

“I definitely think we’ll get through this,” she continued. “I don’t want to just do porn and even if I did just want to do porn, he’s not going to stop loving me or stop talking to me just because this is what my job is. He’s upset right now.

“After all the media attention subsides about the release of it, he’ll want to talk and it’ll be back to normal.”

Montana has said that her mother, Hajna Moss Fishburne, a fitness professional and a Reebok University Master trainer, is also against her decision to launch a porn career, but has decided to offer unconditional support in whatever profession her daughter chooses.

“I have a really good relationship with my mom,” she said. “She just wanted to make sure I thought about the decision before I made it.”

Montana also set the record straight on a number of rumors that have sprouted since news of her adult film debut with Vivid Entertainment broke last month.

She claims she is not rebelling against her father. She had a “fairytale childhood,” not a troubled one. She did not start a Twitter war airing the supposed dark side of Jamie Foxx. She was not arrested for prostitution. And Kim Kardashian is in no way her career role model.

And the 18-year-old Montana, whose parents only found out about her X-rated career choice once the Vivid press release was sent, said that she doesn’t intend to remain in porn her whole life.

“I definitely want to have my own business, that’s definitely what I’m about. The entertainment industry is fun and I like it, but in the long term, I want to have some kind of business, whether it’s in entertainment or outside,” she said. “I definitely want to have some kind of empire.”

An empire like Kim Kardashian?

“Everyone’s like, ‘Kim Kardashian, Kim Kardashian.’ No. That is not whose career I want to emulate. I would say [porn star turned 'Entourage' actress] Sasha Grey.”

Montana also took time out to clarify her position on a certain Oscar winner she has tremendous respect for.

“Apparently I’ve been saying some things about Jamie Foxx, and that is not my Twitter,” she clarified. “It’s a fake account saying these things.”

As previously reported, repetitive tweets that claim to have intimate knowledge of the Foxx videotaping himself with another man were sent under the fake Twitter account.

“I took no part in that,” she went on. “I have a lot of respect for him and that wasn’t me.”

She also took time to clear the air about her alleged arrest for prostitution, claiming the arresting officer made a mistake on the first batch of paperwork, but that it was quickly fixed to reflect her real offense: trespassing. The documents making the rounds, she claims, are the first botched reports.

While Montana has yet to sign on for a follow-up to her porn debut, she said that she is currently in talks with Vivid over the possibility of another project and says that, whatever happens in the future, she will never regret her decision.

“I feel confident. I say I’m not going to regret it, because I’m on a path now. I’ve made the decision and now I’m on a path. If it leads me somewhere, I don’t look at anything as bad. Wherever it takes me, I’m gonna make a positive out of it.

“The only thing I wish I could take away is the pain that it will give my family. I wish it didn’t hurt them, but besides that, I’m thrilled.”

Despite her many challenges, the soulful singer would change nothing about her life. On June 28, Hudson will tell it all on VHI’s “Behind the Music.

“I feel like I’ve led at least three to four different lives. You have your ups and your downs and everything is bittersweet across the board but I would not trade my career for nothing in the world.”

Jamie Foxx shared a few thoughts about his Dreamgirls co-star:

“Jennifer Hudson, with all that she’s gone through, the good, the great, the tragic — no matter what happens you can’t take the talent away from her.”

The show will premiere on VHI on Mon, June 28.

Jamie Foxx is developing a mob-based drama for TV titled “Tommy’s Little Girl.”

According to Deadline, the actor-singer is currently shooting a trailer for the project, which focuses on the relationship between a mob boss and his daughter.

Paul Sorvino portrays the mob boss and Selma Blair has been cast as his daughter, Deadline reported. James Russo and former “Sopranos” actor Tony Sirico also appear in the promo.

Foxx is currently editing the trailer and is expected to take it to cable networks when it is finished.

The Wanda Sykes Show

Nellie Andreeva, editor of Deadline.com’s TV is reporting that Fox has pulled the plug on “The Wanda Sykes Show”.

Andreeva reports:

The late-night talk show started off strong but tumbled in the ratings as the season went on and fell below the performance of predecessor “MadTV” in the Saturday 11 p.m. hour.

Fox has options for the late-night Saturday slot. It has been actively developing sketch comedies this pilot season and ordered two pilots, one written by Jamie Foxx and “MadTV” creators Fax Bahr and Adam Small.

Fox, meanwhile, has yet to make an official announcement regarding the fate of Wanda Sykes.

Stacey Dash hit up Nina Chantelle's Morning Riot show on Chicago’s WGCI today.  She talked about her and Jamie Foxx being "friends with benefits".  Stacey we are grown, just say that yall are getting it in and keep it moving.

Tons of celebrities hit up the Jim Henson studio in L.A. on Monday to re-make the Quincy Jones' produced  “We Are The World.” The 2010 version called is being called “We Are The World 25 Years for Haiti.”

Foxx plays DA Nick Rice to Gerard Butler’s every-man Clyde Shelton in the film which opens today in theaters everywhere.

“Revenge is a tough thing,” Foxx said speaking to the film’s story. “I don’t know if that’s my Texas upbringing, but you have certain things about you that you say, ‘Ok, at that point, that’s where I would tip; that would be my tipping point.’ When you look at this movie, you look at your daughter and your wife who you love and you say, ‘Wow, what I would do?’ I’ve read stories about people taking the law into their own hands and that’s just bad. It’s tough.”

The film weaves a story of complexities with what initially appear to be plot gaps, but Foxx explained that that was the genius of the film and its director F. Gary Gray and producer Lucas Foster.

“Literally, we were flying by the seat of our pants at times and every single step Lucas Foster was like, ‘No, that’s not going to make sense when you do that. It will make sense if you do this.’ He is really responsible for making it work. It’s tough to do a movie like this; to sort of suspend the reality and take it out of the extreme, but he was great at it.”

Working with Gray and Foster was just one of Foxx’s resources in developing his character. Like most actors, Foxx turned to real people to study for his role, though this time, he didn't deal with real life DAs, but with their opposition.

“I got with the defense attorneys because defense attorneys tell the truth about DAs,” Foxx said. “DAs always put their best food forward, but the defense attorneys are like, ‘They’re arrogant, they’re this they’re that,’ and I wanted to have a layer of that; the person that is detached emotionally about the case. If you take every case and you’re emotional about every case, you won’t be able to make it. That’s what I did.”

Foxx admitted that while falling into character and the genius of the crew, his challenge for ‘Law Abiding Citizen,’ was actually the process.

“We were writing as we were going and coming up with stuff,” he said. “Other than that I had a good time. ‘Blame It’ was number one at the time, so I kept coming on set singing. And Philly was a great city to shoot, and great food.”

Foxx has done well in film, television, and radio and he told reporters that being able to lean on different talents is important particularly in today’s unforgiving and fickle entertainment industry.

“You don’t know what’s gonna work,” he said. “You don’t know if this movie is going to be great. You don’t know if the songs are going to be hits. It’s hard to be a successful celebrity these days. It's not about the celebrity anymore, it’s about the vehicle. If you have a great vehicle, you’re good. It’s tough out there.”

As far as his music career is concerned, Foxx said that he is going to stay current and churn out at least a couple more “young albums,” as he called it, before settling back into unadulterated R&B.

“I’m going to stay current,” he said. “All my R&B cohorts are out of jobs right now. Nobody wants to hear R&B. It’s sad. I sing R&B in the show, but if you want to be on the radio, you’ve got to stay young. My daughter always says, ‘Dad, you sound old. You sound 50. Why don’t you have a machine on your voice? Why don’t you have the auto-tune? They’re not going to like that.’ I’m thinking I’m killing it.”

“I have to get more albums and more material so when you’re out on the road you can relax,” he continued. “I had a conversation with Lionel Richie who said, ‘You’re a couple of albums away from getting your Vegas on.’ So I can just go to Vegas and say, ‘Hey, you know this one?’”

With a dual career, or even a tri-career if you consider his comedy radio show “The Foxx Hole,” Foxx said that he’s pretty protective of his work.     

“The one thing you try to do is just be known for your entertainment as opposed to the Internet and ‘tweets’ and all that. If I’m doing jokes and I’m in this club and the jokes are designed for this club and somebody tweets it and the people that are reading it are not in the club. You’ve got to protect your art and still be out there. When we do radio shows, we’re having to explain a joke or we’re having to send a gift basket. It gets to the point where you want to kick somebody and say, ‘it’s comedy.’ As far as our radio show, we stay way out there. We’re like the Richard Pryor album that you had to go into the basement to listen to.”

 Still, with the radio show, films, and hit records, Foxx said that his first love remains his first choice – Comedy.

“For me the comedy is much more enjoyable because that’s where I’m from. Sometimes when you’re doing the drama it gets so heavy,” he said. “And say you don’t have that big movie after ‘Ray,’ but then you get a hit song, so it feels a little better. We’re all very emotional. Every artist is so emotional. If you’re dying in one area, and if that’s the only area you’re in, it’s tough, but if you luck up and you get a hit record, you can hide behind that record. So, I cheat a lot. It’s tough for my friends that are just actors because there are not a lot of roles that are great or movies that are fantastic. I feel humble and lucky.”

Meanwhile Foxx's lawyers have come forward and said the picture was taken as part of an upcoming film he's to star in and NOT as a titillating offering. But skeptics will ask what film, other than triple-X rated ones, will feature a star with FULL FRONTAL NUDITY?
