In an interview with People.com, newly-divorced singer Christina Milian says she’s in no hurry to rush into another relationship after splitting from her husband, producer The Dream.

“I’m staying single for a long time,” she told the magazine Saturday at Tao Las Vegas’s 5-year anniversary party. “There is no man in my life and I’m staying single. No dating, no nothing. I love being single.”

Milian, 29, said she hasn’t dated since leaving The Dream, and the dating world is not something she’s finds particularly familiar.

“I jump from relationship to relationship usually and this is the first time I’m comfortable with myself,” she said. “I’m learning about myself all over again. And as far as my daughter, I will never bring anyone into her life that I don’t have a real connection with. I’m going to protect her. I don’t just bring anyone into my life or her life.”

Her 8-month-old daughter with Dream, Violet Madison Nash, is “the biggest blessing of my life,” she said. “I feel life has a meaning. Everything I do is for her now. I dedicate my life to her now. I spend every moment just thinking about whatever I pursue is going to be a part of her future. I want the best life for her… She’s the happiest, most beautiful baby.”

As for her ex, Milian’s lawyer says they have settled the terms of their divorce. “Christina Milian is pleased that she and her husband have resolved matters outside of court,” Randy Kessler tells PEOPLE. “She agreed to settle the case because the agreement was very fair and it helped avoid what would have been an ugly trial.”

TMZ is reporting that Kim Kardashian has been in a recording studio working on a debut album with producer The Dream.

“We’re told Kim’s recently been in the studio with top notch writer/producer/performer The-Dream, whose hits include Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ and Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),’” the website reported.

One person who’s been inside a recording session tells TMZ, “Kim’s got a really good voice.”

Remember all the weight Christina Milian added before and after giving birth? Well, it’s gone now. So what’s her secret? Just ask her mother.

The singer gained 45 pounds while she was pregnant with her daughter Violet and dropped it.

“The first month, I lost weight drastically,” said Milian, who gave birth in February (she told Us in April that she’s dropped 27 lbs.). “On top of that, she (her mom) cooked me a lot of raw vegetables and raw salads and proteins — and it worked! I also drank a lot of water.”

Her mother has been supportive even during the split with her baby’s father The Dream.

“I have a very supportive family, so between my mother and my sisters, they are helpful,” she said.

Her daughter is doing “great,” said Milian. “She’s wonderful, as happy as ever, and she’s growing her first two teeth. She is so adorable.”

When The-Dream filed for divorce from Christina Milian in February, it came as a surprise to his wife, who was nine days away from giving birth to the couple’s daughter. Now Milian is asking a judge to throw out the divorce papers.

According to TMZ, the  singer claims that the father of her child not only lied about the status of their relationship, but also cheated on her.

Despite The-Dream publicly announcing the end of their marriage, Milian insists it was quite the contrary and that the two even had “marital relations on numerous occasions” after the paperwork was filed.

If the court does grant the divorce, Milian wants it to be for reasons other than that their marriage was “irretrievably broken,” instead claiming that The-Dream was cheating on her.

In her legal response, filed last week in Georgia, Milian admits that she signed an agreement with The-Dream that waived alimony or ownership rights to each other’s property. However, she maintains that she was in no state to sign such documents because they were brought to her when she was nine months pregnant.

Well its been confirmed that the marriage between producer The Dream and Christina Milian is officially OVER!!! This was pretty evident since they haven’t been seen together in months. The Dream’s rep confirmed the split with US Weekly saying:

Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.

The split confirmation comes as racy photos surface of The-Dream and his assistant of about a year, Melissa Santiago, frolicking in the Caribbean. The producer and singer (who released his third album, Love King, on June 29), 32, proposed to Milian, 28, in July 2009 with a six-carat diamond ring from Ivanka Trump’s jewelry line. The couple eloped last September in Las Vegas, and said “I Do” a second time in Rome in December. They welcomed daughter Violet five months ago.

Ciara & The Dream

The Dream was forced to shut down his Twitter page after Ciara fans send him some pretty angry messages. Their disturbing responses were caused from some hmm … mean comments he made in Parlour magazine. When answering if Ciara’s upcoming album “Basic Instinct” will be her last shot at fame.

“I think so. You only get so many times to, and I won’t say fail, but not achieve,” he said in the interview. “There’s an expectation of where Ciara should be in her career. To others, she’s achieved but not to us, because we saw where her career was headed. But now she’s back on the horse. When she first came out I, like Lil Jon and Jazze Pha, understood exactly who she was. It was that whole Atlanta vibe because if I’m not Atlanta, no one is … I knew if I had a chance to get with her creatively, there’s a specific type of swagger that she’s got. Tricky and I did her whole album, but it’s not all shallow songs like ‘Ride’. There’s play time but there’s substance too, it’s a great listen.”

Perhaps that response didn’t go over to well with fans. But before he shut it down completely, he posted a message in his defense, telling his new haters club to get familiar with the context of the article? Situation? Industry? Or something and that he loves Ciara.

“Look up the word context. And also become familiar with the phrase ‘taken out of context’ it helps. I believed in Ciara when every1 else walked away &talked s**t I love her that’s my sister! Actions speak louder than words.”

The Dream recently visited Detroit radion station WJLB’s “Coco Foolish and Mr. Chase In The Morning” where he gave up the following goods:

Dream told us EXCUSIVELY how his ex-wife Nivea and his new wife Christina Milian are basically forced to get along because he won’t have it any other way. He called Nivea his “Great friend,” and said “Everyone around me get along. They might not want to, but we have to. We have too much business to take care of.”

When Mr. Chase asked how his first year of marriage is going Dream said, “It’s definitely pretty tough. Because you have family members on each side that have to get into it… You can’t handle the groupies. You can’t handle the blogs. You just gotta do what you gotta do and hopefully the people who are close to you know who you are.

The Dream needs to back off with remaking the classics. F or some reason his falsetto singing a$$ decided to remake Aaliyah's "One In A Million".  I love Aaliyah and her music too much to let this travesty continue.

Aaliyah's music is too special to be fooled with and The Dream better respect that.

New music has surfaced from singer Ciara's not so highly anticipated fourth album 'Basic Instinct'.  The latest track entitled "I Run It' features production by Tricky Stewart & The Dream production.    Listen below:
